About the Waddesdon Country Show

Every year the Bucks Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs organise a one-day event at which  all the clubs from the county participate. This day is not only a platform for Young Farmers' events and competitions, but also for the public to come along and enjoy.

The 2016 show, hosted by Aylesbury Senior and Aylesbury Junior Young Farmers Clubs, will be a great day out for the whole family. It is set in the beautiful grounds of Waddesdon Estate, with the very kind permission of the Rothschild family.

There will be lots of action in the main ring - we have the Welsh Axemen display team coming along as well as Cyril and his racing terriers. There will also be some of the popular young farmers competitions such as the fiercely contested tug of war and the hoe down (involving a lot of water, eggs and flour!).

Beyond the main ring, there will be lots of trade stands and shopping stalls to browse, a barn full of young farmers 'homecrafts' competitions to check out and lots of fun activities for the children - from the pets corner to the huge inflatable slide.

After a stroll around the showground, you might work up an appetite, so there will be lots of lovely food stalls for you to choose from - there will be hog roast and burgers, scotch eggs and pies, yoghurts and cupcakes, and sweets and fudge, to name a few...
